Mikayla Glode is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, providing therapy services for adolescents, families and adults at Freedom First Psychological Services.
Mikayla has experience working with diverse populations and with a range of mental health and addiction diagnoses. She specializes in working with adolescents, families, and adults. Specific areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, trauma, addictive disorders, adjustment disorders, and mood disorders. Mikayla enjoys working with her clients to develop the approach that would best benefit each client’s goals. Some common examples of approaches include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, Narrative Therapy, and other person-centered approaches.
Mikayla obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Cazenovia College in Psychology and her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from SUNY Oswego. She has also earned an Advanced Certificate in Trauma Studies. Mikayla has spent time working in agencies where she has developed the skills to treat individuals, families, addiction, and dual diagnoses. Her goal is to help all of her clients better themselves and live a more fulfilling life.
