Marisa Iacobucci, LMSW

Marisa Iacobucci is a Licensed Master Social Worker, providing therapy services for adults, older adults, couples, veterans, caregivers and individuals diagnosed with cognitive impairment at Freedom First Psychological Services. She also has a Masters in Mind Body Medicine, a certification for the Mind-Body Skills Group through the Center for Mind Body Medicine and is trained in EFT, hypnosis, and many forms of meditation. 

 

Marisa has expertise working with anxiety, depression, mild cognitive impairment, moderate to early advanced dementia, including FTD (client must be accompanied by care partner), chronic pain and illness, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), trauma and grief. 

 

Marisa completed her Bachelors degree from Wells College and Masters Degrees from SUNY Albany and Saybrook University. She has completed internships at Daughters of Sarah Senior Community. 

 

Marisa takes a holistic approach to therapy - mind and body are connected with environment and spirituality as part of the whole as well.  She uses of a variety of somatic modalities, including tapping, basic biofeedback, and expressive meditation, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), art therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to create an individualized, client focused approach.
