Kathy Shaw, LCSW

Kathy Shaw is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing therapy services for adolescents and adults at Freedom First Psychological Services.

Kathy has nearly 30 years of experience working with diverse populations presenting with a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, suicidal ideation and self-harm.

Kathy obtained her BSW from Siena College and her MSW from SUNY Albany. She has worked in a variety of settings, including outpatient and inpatient mental health, hospital, college, and school settings. In addition to her time at Freedom First, Kathy currently works as a school social worker in the City School District of Albany.

Kathy uses a client centered, strength-based approach to help clients achieve their goals in a safe and supportive environment.
