Hayley Humiston, MHC

Hayley Humiston is a Mental Health Counselor, providing therapy services for children, adolescents and adults at Freedom First Psychological Services. She has experience treating anxiety, depression, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID.)
Hayley uses a holistic approach that stems from existential and strengths-based psychotherapy, integrating DBT techniques and strategies for executive dysfunction and social skills. She provides CBT-AR for individuals with ARFID and their families. She is a certified provider of the Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS), an evidence-based social skills programs for preschoolers, adolescents, and young adults.
Hayley earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The College of Saint Rose and earned her Bachelor’s Degree from St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY. She completed her clinical internship at Jewish Family Services where she provided individual clinical services to children and adults and social/emotional learning programming at Jewish day schools and summer camps. Throughout her career, Hayley has provided skills-based programs to clients across the lifespan in school and adult-education settings, and has coordinated program research/implementation promoting women’s leadership in Washington, DC and abroad.
