Alyssa Rodriguez is a Licensed Master Social Worker who provides therapy services for children, adolescents, young adults, and families at Freedom First Psychological Services.

Alyssa has experience treating individuals with anxiety, depression, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).  She also has experience with providing crisis management and support for individuals experiencing adverse life events, including being placed within the foster care system.

Alyssa completed her Bachelor's and Master’s degrees through SUNY Albany. She completed her internships at Samaritan Crime Victims Unit, where she assisted individuals coming into the ER who reported being victims of various crimes, such as physical and sexual assault, and domestic violence. Alyssa also interned at Ellis Child Adolescent Treatment Services and provided outpatient clinical services to children and their families.

Alyssa utilizes a non-directed, client-centered approach to therapy. Through the use of play therapy, CBT, and creative arts, she provides a safe, supportive and comfortable space for clients to identify practical tools to solve problems and process events that have an affect on behavior and feelings, with the understanding that each individual is the expert on themselves and their own life experiences. Alyssa also utilizes a holistic approach to treatment that considers how the body and mind affect the individual in conjunction with cultural, socioeconomic, and geographical background.
