Alan Martell, LCSW

Alan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, providing therapy services for adults and adolescents at Freedom First Psychological Services, PLLC.

Alan specializes in working with adults and adolescents, particularly those struggling with stress management, anxiety, depression, mood instability, and addiction. Alan also enjoys doing couples counseling and is proficient with multiple treatment approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

Alan graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Forensic Psychology from Castleton University and his Masters in Social Work from SUNY Albany.

Alan has been the Assistant Director of the Counseling Center at the College of Saint Rose for the past 17 years and has enjoyed working on a part-time basis at Freedom First since 2022.
