Stephanie Ngelezi is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) providing therapy services to children, adolescents and young adults at Freedom First Psychological Services.

 

She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Child Psychology with a minor in Early Childhood Education from Bay Path University in Longmeadow, Massachusetts. She received her Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of New England in Portland, Maine.

 

She has experience working in mobile crisis intervention settings, psychiatric hospital crisis units, outpatient psychiatric, residential, schools, and private practice settings with children and adults. She specializes in trauma, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She believes in a team/client centered approach with trauma sensitivity, compassion and a respect for all walks of life. She believes in helping clients to improve themselves through self reflection, strength based practices and accountability. Her passion is working with younger populations to help them heal, cope with and learn from their past and trauma histories, in order to break generational patterns of unhealthy behaviors and help people find and be the best/healthiest versions of themselves both now and in adulthood. Previous clients have described Stephanie as compassionate, empathetic and as someone who always assists clients in finding their true potential and strengths.
