Nicole Richard, LMHC
Nicole is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, providing therapy services for Freedom First Psychological Services, PLLC.
Nicole specializes in working with adolescents and adults, particularly those struggling with stress management, organization/task completion, anxiety, depression, mood instability, trauma, addiction, grief, and interpersonal relationship issues. Her expertise in treatment approaches includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, trauma therapy, relapse prevention, mindfulness-based practices, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
Nicole graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree from Sage College of Albany for Law and Society, as well as with her Master’s Degree from Sage Graduate School for Counseling and Community Psychology. She also has additional education in substance use counseling.
Nicole has developed an array of clinical expertise through experience in a wide variety of settings in the field of mental health treatment, including at an inpatient psychiatric center, a college counseling center, both inpatient and outpatient substance use treatment centers, and a position working with high risk members in the community. Her experience in the mental health field has provided her a diverse clinical background to offer clients as they seek to make progress towards meeting their goals.
